चित्रसेनगन्धर्वैः कौरवसंनिपातः
Citrasena and the Kaurava engagement
भेदिते च त्वयि विभो लोको द्वैधमुपेष्यति । द्विधाभूतेषु लोकेषु निश्चितेष्वावयोस्तथा,तस्मादिन्द्रो भवानेव भविता मा विचारय । प्रभो! यदि तुम फ़ूट जाओगे तो जगतके प्राणी दो भागोंमें बट जायँगे। महाबलवान् वीर! सम्पूर्ण लोकोंके निश्चय ही दो दलोंमें बट जाने तथा लोगोंके द्वारा भेदबुद्धि उत्पन्न किये जानेपर हम लोगोंमें युद्ध प्रारम्भ हो सकता है। तात! उस युद्धमें जैसा कि मेरा विश्वास है, तुम्हीं विजयी होओगे। अतः तुम्हीं इन्द्र हो जाओ। इस विषयमें कोई दूसरी बात मत सोचो
bhidite ca tvayi vibho loko dvaidham upeṣyati | dvidhābhūteṣu lokeṣu niściteṣv āvayos tathā, tasmād indro bhavān eva bhavitā mā vicāraya |
ഇന്ദ്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ വിഭോ! നിനക്കുള്ളിൽ ഭേദം സംഭവിച്ചാൽ ലോകം രണ്ടായി പിരിയും. ലോകങ്ങൾ നിശ്ചയമായി—നിന്റെ പക്ഷവും എന്റെ പക്ഷവും—എന്ന് രണ്ട് പാളയങ്ങളായി വിഭജിക്കപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ, ഞങ്ങൾക്കിടയിൽ സംഘർഷം ആരംഭിക്കാം. അതിനാൽ നീ തന്നേ ഇന്ദ്രനാകുക; ഇനി ആലോചിക്കേണ്ട.
