Skanda–Mātṛgaṇa-janma: Kumārakāḥ, Kanyāgaṇāḥ, and the Vīrāṣṭaka (स्कन्द-मातृगण-सम्भवः)

सुखभश्रव्यतया विद्वन्‌ मुहूर्त इव मे गत: । न हि तृप्तो5स्मि भगवन्‌ शृण्वानो धर्ममुत्तमम्‌,विद्वन! यह कथा सुननेमें इतनी सुखद थी कि मेरा बहुत-सा समय भी दो घड़ीके समान बीत गया। भगवन्‌! आपके मुखसे यह धर्मकी उत्तम कथा सुनते-सुनते मुझे तृप्ति ही नहीं हो रही है

sukhabhaśravyatayā vidvan muhūrta iva me gataḥ | na hi tṛpto 'smi bhagavan śṛṇvāno dharmam uttamam ||

ഹേ വിദ്വാനേ, ഈ കഥ കേൾക്കാൻ അത്രയും സുഖകരമായതിനാൽ ദീർഘസമയവും എനിക്ക് ഒരു മുഹൂർത്തംപോലെ കടന്നുപോയി. ഭഗവൻ, നിങ്ങളുടെ മുഖത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ധർമ്മത്തിന്റെ ഈ ഉത്തമോപദേശം കേട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോഴും എനിക്ക് തൃപ്തി വരുന്നില്ല.
