शीतश्च वायु: प्रववी प्रयाणे तस्य धीमत: । विपांसुलां महीं कुर्वन् ववर्ष च सुरेश्वर:,उन बुद्धिमान् राजा कुवलाश्वचके यात्राकालमें शीतल वायु चलने लगी। देवराज इन्द्र धरतीकी धूल शान्त करनेके लिये वर्षा करने लगे
śītaś ca vāyuḥ pravavī prayāṇe tasya dhīmataḥ | vipāṃsulāṃ mahīṃ kurvan vavarṣa ca sureśvaraḥ ||
മാർക്കണ്ഡേയൻ പറഞ്ഞു— ആ ധീമാനായ രാജാവ് യാത്രയ്ക്ക് പുറപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ തന്നെ ശീതള കാറ്റ് വീശിത്തുടങ്ങി. ദേവാധിപനായ ഇന്ദ്രൻ മഴ പെയ്തു; ഭൂമിയിലെ പൊടി അടങ്ങി, വഴി പൊടിയില്ലാത്തതായി—ധർമ്മപ്രയത്നത്തെ പിന്തുണയ്ക്കുന്ന, യാത്രാക്ലേശം കുറയ്ക്കുന്ന ശുഭരക്ഷാസൂചനയായി അത് വന്നു।
