ब्रह्मबन्धुषु यद् दत्तं यद् दत्तं वृषलीपतौ । स्त्रीजनेषु च यद् दत्तं व्यालग्राहे तथैव च
Transliteration
brahmabandhuṣu yad dattaṃ yad dattaṃ vṛṣalīpatau | strījaneṣu ca yad dattaṃ vyālagrāhe tathaiva ca
Translation
മാർകണ്ഡേയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—യഥാർത്ഥ ബ്രാഹ്മണാചാരം ഇല്ലാത്ത ‘ബ്രഹ്മബന്ധു’വിന് നൽകിയ ദാനം, താഴ്ന്ന ജാതിയിലെ സ്ത്രീയുടെ ഭർത്താവിന് നൽകിയ ദാനം, വിവേചനമില്ലാതെ സ്ത്രീജനസമൂഹത്തിന് നൽകിയ ദാനം, അതുപോലെ ഒരു ക്രൂരമൃഗത്തിന്റെ പിടിയിൽപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ നൽകിയ ദാനം—ഇവ പാത്രത, ഉദ്ദേശ്യം, യുക്തമായ സാഹചര്യം എന്നിവ ആലോചിക്കാതെ നൽകിയതിനാൽ ദോഷമുള്ള ദാനങ്ങളായി കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
