समाख्याहि मम ब्रद्मान्‌ कि सुखं चिरजीविनाम्‌ | इन्द्रने पूछा--महाभाग! देवता तथा ऋषियोंके समुदाय आपकी सेवामें उपस्थित रहते हैं। ब्रह्म! अब मुझसे फिर यह बताइये कि चिरजीवी मनुष्योंको क्या सुख मिलता है?

samākhyāhi mama brahman ki sukhaṁ cirajīvinām | indra uvāca |

ഇന്ദ്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“ഹേ ബ്രഹ്മൻ, ദീർഘായുസ്സുള്ളവർക്ക് ലഭിക്കുന്ന സുഖം എന്തെന്നു എനിക്ക് വ്യക്തമായി പറഞ്ഞുതരിക. മഹാഭാഗ! ദേവന്മാരുടെയും ഋഷിമാരുടെയും സംഘം നിങ്ങളുടെ സേവയിൽ സന്നിഹിതരായിരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ വീണ്ടും ഇതേ ചോദിക്കുന്നു.”
