सृष्टवा देवमनुष्यांस्तु गन्धर्वोरगराक्षसान्‌ । स्थावराणि च भूतानि संहराम्यात्ममायया,मैं ही अपनी मायासे देवता, मनुष्य, गन्धर्व, नाग, राक्षस तथा स्थावर प्राणियोंकी सृष्टि करके समय आनेपर पुन: उनका संहार कर डालता हूँ

sṛṣṭvā devamanuṣyāṁs tu gandharvoragarākṣasān | sthāvarāṇi ca bhūtāni saṁharāmy ātma-māyayā ||

ഞാൻ തന്നെയാണ് എന്റെ മായാശക്തിയാൽ ദേവന്മാരെയും മനുഷ്യരെയും, ഗന്ധർവന്മാരെയും നാഗങ്ങളെയും രാക്ഷസന്മാരെയും, കൂടാതെ സ്ഥാവരഭൂതങ്ങളെയും സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നത്; കാലം വന്നാൽ എന്റെ മായയാൽ തന്നെയവയെ സംഹരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു।
