भविष्यतो निरुत्साहौ भ्रष्टवीर्यपराक्रमौ मद्विनाशात् परिद्यूनाविति मे वर्तते मति:,“वे मेरे विनाशसे उत्साहशून्य हो जायँगे, अपने बल और पराक्रम खो बैठेंगे और सर्वथा शक्तिहीन हो जायँगे, ऐसा मेरा विश्वास है”
bhaviṣyato nirutsāhau bhraṣṭavīryaparākramau madvināśāt paridyūnāv iti me vartate matiḥ |
എന്റെ ഉറച്ച ധാരണ ഇതാണ്: എന്റെ നാശത്തോടെ അവർ ഉത്സാഹരഹിതരാകും; അവരുടെ ശക്തിയും വീരപരാക്രമവും തകർന്നു, അവർ പൂർണ്ണമായി ദുർബലരാകും.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights how the fall of a central protector or leader can cause a collapse of morale and capability in dependents; ethical leadership carries responsibility because others’ courage and effectiveness may hinge upon it.
Vaiśampāyana reports a speaker’s inner conviction: if the speaker is destroyed, ‘they’ (the dependent party) will become dispirited, lose strength and valor, and be rendered powerless—an assessment of psychological and strategic consequences.
