Arjuna’s Arrival and Reunion on the Sacred Mountain
न हि मे शृण्वतस्तृप्तिरस्ति तेषां विचेष्टितम् । क्योंकि आ्षिणने जैसा बताया था, उसके अनुसार वहाँ कुबेर अवश्य आते रहे होंगे। तपोधन! मैं यह सब विस्तारके साथ सुनना चाहता हूँ; क्योंकि पाण्डवोंका चरित्र सुननेसे मुझे तृप्ति नहीं होती,प्रत्यहन्यन्त ते सर्वे गदामासाद्य सायका: । न वेग॑ धारयामासुर्गदावेगस्य वेगिता: परंतु वे सभी बाण मणिमान्की गदासे टकराकर नष्ट हो गये। यद्यपि वे बड़े वेगसे छूटे थे, तथापि गदा चलानेके अभ्यासी मणिमान्की गदाके वेगको न सह सके
Janamejaya uvāca:
na hi me śṛṇvatas tṛptir asti teṣāṃ viceṣṭitam |
pratyahanyanta te sarve gadām āsādya sāyakāḥ |
na vegaṃ dhārayāmāsur gadāvegasya vegitāḥ ||
ജനമേജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“അവരുടെ പ്രവർത്തികൾ കേട്ടാലും എനിക്ക് തൃപ്തിയില്ല; കൂടുതൽ വിശദമായി പറയുക. ആ അമ്പുകളൊക്കെയും മണിമാന്റെ ഗദയെ തട്ടി തകർന്നു; അതിവേഗത്തിൽ വിട്ട ശരം പോലും, ഗദാപ്രയോഗത്തിൽ നിപുണനായ അവന്റെ ഗദാവേഗം സഹിക്കാനായില്ല।”
