पत्रिण: पुष्पितानेतान् संपतन्ति महाद्रुमान् । “ये चकोर, शतपत्र, मदोन्मत्त कोकिल और सारिका आदि पक्षी इन पुष्पमण्डित विशाल वृक्षोंकी ओर कैसे उड़े जा रहे हैं?
patriṇaḥ puṣpitān etān saṃpatanti mahādrumān |
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ചിറകുള്ള ഈ പക്ഷികൾ പുഷ്പിതമായ ഈ മഹാവൃക്ഷങ്ങളിലേക്കു ചാടിയിറങ്ങുന്നു. ഈ ചകോര, ശതപത്ര, മദോന്മത്ത കോകില, സാരിക മുതലായ പക്ഷികൾ പുഷ്പമണ്ഡിതമായ വിശാലവൃക്ഷങ്ങളിലേക്കു എത്ര വേഗത്തിൽ പറന്നുചേരുന്നു!
