Kubera’s Fivefold Nīti and Protection of the Pāṇḍavas (वैश्रवणोपदेशः)
tato yudhiṣṭhiro bhīmam āhedaṃ prītimad vacaḥ | aho śrīmad idaṃ bhīma gandhamādanakānanam ||
The verse highlights dharmic speech and mental discipline: Yudhiṣṭhira responds to circumstances with appreciative, gentle words, cultivating steadiness and goodwill rather than complaint or agitation.
In the forest-exile setting, Yudhiṣṭhira, pleased and struck by the beauty of the place, addresses Bhīma with affectionate admiration, praising the splendor of the Gandhamādana woodland.
