स वै यत्नेन महता तासु पुत्र महीपति: । कंचिन्नासादयामास कालेन महता हापि,परंतु दीर्घकालतक महान् प्रयत्न करते रहनेपर भी वे अपनी उन रानियोंके गर्भसे कोई पुत्र न प्राप्त कर सके
sa vai yatnena mahatā tāsu putra mahīpatiḥ | kañcin nāsādayāmāsa kālena mahatā api |
ആ ഭൂപതി മഹത്തായ പരിശ്രമം ചെയ്തിട്ടും, ദീർഘകാലം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടും, ആ ഭാര്യമാരിൽ നിന്നൊരുപുത്രനെയും ലഭിക്കാനായില്ല।
