Educational Q&A

Power should operate under dharma and legitimate command. Bhīma’s victory is framed not as personal vengeance but as disciplined action carried out at Dharmarāja Yudhiṣṭhira’s instruction, highlighting ethical restraint and accountability in the use of force.

Vidura reports that Kirmīra was killed in combat by Bhīma, and explicitly notes that Bhīma acted on the order of Dharmarāja Yudhiṣṭhira, addressing the listener as a Kaurava/descendant of Kuru.
