Pātāla-varṇana (Nārada’s Description of the Netherworld) / पातालवर्णनम्

तावुभौ प्रीतमनसौ कार्यवन्तौ निवेद्य ह । वरुणेनाभ्यनुज्ञाती नागलोकं विचेरतु:,तत्पश्चात्‌ उन दोनोंने प्रसन्नचित्त होकर वरुणदेवतासे अपना कार्य निवेदन किया और उनकी आज्ञा लेकर वे नागलोकमें विचरने लगे

tāv ubhau prītamanasau kāryavantau nivedya ha | varuṇenābhyanujñātī nāgalokaṃ viceratuḥ ||

പിന്നീട് അവർ ഇരുവരും സന്തുഷ്ടമനസ്സോടെ തങ്ങളുടെ കാര്യം വരുണനോട് അറിയിച്ചു; അവന്റെ അനുമതി ലഭിച്ചതോടെ അവർ നാഗലോകത്തിൽ സഞ്ചരിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി.
