कण्वोपदेशः—नश्वरबलविवेकः तथा मातलिगुणकेश्याः आख्यानारम्भः

यद्येतदेवं जानासि न च मामभिशड्कसे । आर्या मतिं समास्थाय शाम्य भारत पाण्डवै:

yady etad evaṁ jānāsi na ca mām abhiśaṅkase | āryāṁ matiṁ samāsthāya śāmya bhārata pāṇḍavaiḥ ||

ഹേ ഭാരതാ! ഇത് ഇങ്ങനെ തന്നെയെന്ന് നീ അറിയുകയും എന്നെക്കുറിച്ച് നിനക്ക് അല്പവും സംശയം ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ, ആര്യോചിതമായ ശ്രേഷ്ഠബുദ്ധിയെ ആശ്രയിച്ച് പാണ്ഡവരോടു സന്ധി ചെയ്‌ക.
