प्रत्रजन्तोडनुधावन्तीं कृपणां पुत्रगृद्धिनीम्‌ । रुदतीमपहायैनामगच्छाम वयं वनम्‌

Transliteration

pratrajantod anudhāvantīṁ kṛpaṇāṁ putragṛddhinīm | rudatīm apahāyainām agacchāma vayaṁ vanam ||

Translation

ഞങ്ങൾ വനത്തിലേക്ക് പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ, പുത്രസ്നേഹത്തിൽ വ്യാകുലയായ ആ ദുഃഖിതയായ സ്ത്രീ കാതരമായി കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിന്നാലെ ഓടിവന്നു; എന്നാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ അവളെ അവിടെയിട്ട് വനത്തിലേക്ക് പോയി।
