अध्याय ८२ — केशवप्रयाणे निमित्तदर्शनम्
Omens and Reception During Keśava’s Departure
आप हम पाण्डवोंका समाचार बताते हुए हमारी माँसे मिलियेगा और प्रणाम करके पुत्रशोकसे पीड़ित हुई उस देवीको बहुत-बहुत आश्वासन दीजियेगा ।।
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca |
āpāṇḍavānāṃ samācāraṃ vaditvā asmākaṃ mātaraṃ militvā praṇamya putraśoka-pīḍitāṃ tāṃ devīm atibahu āśvāsaya ||
ūḍhāt prabhṛti duḥkhāni śvaśurāṇām ariṃdama |
nikārān atad-arhā ca paśyantī duḥkham aśnute ||
śatrudamana! sā vivāhāt prabhṛti śvaśura-gṛhe nānā-vidhāni duḥkhāni kaṣṭāni ca dṛṣṭvā anubhūya idānīm api tatraiva kaṣṭam aśnute |
യുധിഷ്ഠിരൻ പറഞ്ഞു— പാണ്ഡവരുടെ വാർത്ത അറിയിച്ച് ഞങ്ങളുടെ മാതാവിനെ കാണുക. വന്ദനം അർപ്പിച്ച്, പുത്രശോകത്തിൽ പീഡിതയായ ആ മഹതിയെ വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കുക. ശത്രുദമനാ! വിവാഹം മുതൽ തന്നെ ശ്വശുരഗൃഹത്തിൽ അവൾ പലവിധ ദുഃഖങ്ങളും അപമാനങ്ങളും കണ്ടു—അവയ്ക്ക് അവൾ അർഹയല്ല; ഇന്നും അവിടെ തന്നെ ക്ലേശം സഹിക്കുന്നു.
