Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Appraisal of Strength and Preference for Śama
एवमेवोपकर्तणां प्रायशो लक्षयामहे । इच्छन्ति बहुलं सन्त: प्रतिकर्तु महत् प्रियम्
evamevopakartṝṇāṃ prāyaśo lakṣayāmahe | icchanti bahulaṃ santaḥ pratikartuṃ mahat priyam ||
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“അതുപോലെ ഉപകാരം ചെയ്യുന്നവരുടെ കാര്യത്തിലും നാം സാധാരണയായി കാണുന്നു: സജ്ജനർ മഹത്തായ ഉപകാരത്തിന് പ്രത്യുപകാരം ചെയ്യാൻ യോജിച്ച മഹാപ്രിയകർമ്മം ചെയ്യാൻ ഏറെ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.”
