Sainyasaṅgraha and Bhāga-Vyavasthā (Forces Assembled and Rival Allocations) | सैन्यसंग्रह-भागव्यवस्था
सर्वे समधिरूढा: सम संग्रामान्न: समुद्धर । जानामि त्वां महाबाहो क्षत्रधर्मे व्यवस्थितम्,इस प्रकार बोलते हुए धृष्टद्युम्नसे धर्मात्मा राजा युधिष्ठिरने कहा--“महाबाहो! पाण्डवोंसहित समस्त पांचाल वीर तुम्हारे धैर्य और पराक्रमका ही आश्रय लेकर युद्धके लिये उद्यत हुए हैं, इसलिये तुम्हीं इस संग्रामसे हमलोगोंका उद्धार करो। मैं जानता हूँ कि तुम क्षत्रियधर्ममें प्रतेष्ठित हो और युद्धकी इच्छासे सामने आये हुए समस्त कौरवोंको अकेले ही कैद कर लेनेकी पूरी शक्ति रखते हो

sarve samadhirūḍhāḥ sama-saṅgrāmān naḥ samuddhara |
jānāmi tvāṃ mahābāho kṣatra-dharme vyavasthitam |
സഞ്ജയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“ഞങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും ഒരേ നിശ്ചയത്തോടെ ആരൂഢരായി സന്നദ്ധരാണ്; അതിനാൽ ഈ സംഗരാമത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ഞങ്ങളെ രക്ഷിക്കണം. മഹാബാഹോ! നീ ക്ഷത്രിയധർമ്മത്തിൽ ദൃഢമായി നിലകൊള്ളുന്നവനാണെന്നും, കൂട്ടാളികൾക്കുവേണ്ടിയും യുദ്ധഭാരം വഹിക്കാൻ ശേഷിയുള്ളവനാണെന്നും ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു.”
