प्राज्ञोपसेविन वैद्यं धार्मिकं प्रियदर्शनम् । मित्रवन्तं सुवाक्यं च सुहृदं परिपालयेत्,जो दविद्वानोंकी सेवामें रहनेवाला, वैद्य, धार्मिक, देखनेमें सुन्दर, मित्रोंसे युक्त तथा मधुरभाषी हो, ऐसे सुहृदकी सर्वथा रक्षा करनी चाहिये
prājñopasevinaṃ vaidyaṃ dhārmikaṃ priyadarśanam | mitravantaṃ suvākyaṃ ca suhṛdaṃ paripālayet ||
ജ്ഞാനികളുടെ സാന്നിധ്യം സേവിക്കുന്നവൻ, വൈദ്യനെപ്പോലെ നിപുണൻ, ധർമ്മനിഷ്ഠൻ, ദർശനത്തിൽ പ്രിയൻ, മിത്രസമ്പന്നൻ, മധുരവും യുക്തവുമായ വാക്കുകൾ പറയുന്നവൻ—അത്തരം സുഹൃത്തിനെ പരിശ്രമത്തോടെ സംരക്ഷിച്ച് പോഷിക്കണം.
