कच्चिद् वृत्तिं वर्तते वै पुराणीं कच्चिद् भोगान् धार्तराष्ट्रो ददाति । अंगहीनान् कृपणान् वामनान् वा यानानृशंस्यो धृतराष्ट्रो बिभर्ति
kaccid vṛttiṁ vartate vai purāṇīṁ kaccid bhogān dhārtarāṣṭro dadāti | aṅgahīnān kṛpaṇān vāmanān vā yānānṛśaṁsyo dhṛtarāṣṭro bibharti ||
യുധിഷ്ഠിരൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അവരുടെ പുരാതനമായ ഉപജീവനവൃത്തി ഇപ്പോഴും തുടരുന്നുണ്ടോ? ധാർത്തരാഷ്ട്രൻ (ദുര്യോധനൻ) അവർക്കു ഭോഗസാമഗ്രിയും ജീവിതാവശ്യങ്ങളും നൽകുന്നുണ്ടോ? കരുണയാൽ ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രൻ പോഷിക്കുന്ന അംഗഹീനർ, ദീനർ, വാമനർ—അവരുടെ പരിപാലനത്തിനാവശ്യമായ സാധനങ്ങൾ ദുര്യോധനൻ നൽകുന്നുണ്ടോ?
