Amba approaches the Paraśurāma context; Hotravāhana’s counsel and Akṛtavraṇa’s report (अम्बोपाख्यानम्—रामदर्शनप्रसङ्गः)

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights disciplined decorum: when a significant moment of counsel or duty arises, both ascetics and rulers respond with unified respect. It underscores dharma as expressed through reverence, attentiveness, and proper conduct in an assembly.

A large gathering of sages stands up together, and the elderly king Sṛñjaya also rises. The address to Hotravāhana frames this as reported speech, emphasizing the solemnity and collective readiness of the assembly.
