भीष्मद्रोणयोर्दुर्योधनं प्रति शमोपदेशः | Bhīṣma and Droṇa’s Counsel of Conciliation to Duryodhana
यदर्थ क्षत्रिया सूते तस्य कालोडयमागत: । न हि वैरं समासाद्य सीदन्ति पुरुषर्षभा:
yadartha kṣatriyā sūte tasya kālo ’yam āgataḥ | na hi vairaṃ samāsādya sīdanti puruṣarṣabhāḥ ||
ക്ഷത്രിയസ്ത്രീ പുത്രനെ പ്രസവിക്കുന്നത് ഏതു ലക്ഷ്യത്തിനായോ, അതിനുള്ള കാലം ഇപ്പോൾ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. വൈരം ഏറ്റെടുത്ത ശേഷം ശ്രേഷ്ഠപുരുഷന്മാർ മനസ്സുതളരുകയില്ല; ധർമ്മസമ്മതമായ ശത്രുതയിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചവർ നിരുത്സാഹത്തിൽ മുങ്ങുകയുമില്ല.
