उद्योगपर्व (अध्याय १२९) — केशवस्य वैभवप्रदर्शनम् / Krishna’s Theophanic Display in the Kuru Assembly
ग्रहीतुकामो विक्रम्य सर्वयत्नेन माधवम् । ग्रहीतुं नाशकच्चैन त॑ त्वं प्रार्थथसे बलात्,वह पराक्रम करके सभी उपायोंसे श्रीकृष्णको पकड़ना चाहता था, परंतु इन्हें कभी पकड़ न सका। उन्हीं श्रीकृष्णको तुम बलपूर्वक अपने वशमें करना चाहते हो!
grahītukāmo vikramya sarvayatnena mādhavam | grahītuṃ nāśakac cainaṃ taṃ tvaṃ prārthathase balāt ||
അവൻ പരാക്രമം കാട്ടി എല്ലാ ശ്രമങ്ങളാലും മാധവനെ (ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണനെ) പിടിക്കുവാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു; എന്നാൽ അവനെ പിടിക്കാനായില്ല. അതേ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണനെ നീ ബലപ്രയോഗത്തോടെ വശപ്പെടുത്താൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നുവോ!
