संगरेषु निपातेषु तथा तद्व्यसनेषु च । अनुृतं नोक्तपूर्व मे तेन सत्येन खं ब्रज

Transliteration

saṅgareṣu nipāteṣu tathā tadvyasaneṣu ca | anṛtaṃ noktapūrvaṃ me tena satyena khaṃ braja ||

Translation

യുദ്ധങ്ങളിൽ, रणഭൂമിയിൽ വീഴുന്ന നിമിഷങ്ങളിൽ, അത്തരം ദുരന്തങ്ങളിലുമെല്ലാം ഞാൻ ഒരിക്കലും അസത്യം പറഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ല. ആ സത്യത്തിന്റെ ബലത്താൽ നീ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലേക്ക് പോകുക.
