गुर्वर्थोडयं समारम्भो न हयै: कृत्यमस्ति मे । यदि शक्‍्यं महाराज क्रियतामविचारितम्‌

Transliteration

gurvarthodayaṃ samārambho na hayaiḥ kṛtyam asti me | yadi śakyaṃ mahārāja kriyatām avicāritam ||

Translation

നാരദൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“ഗുരുദക്ഷിണയ്ക്കുള്ള ഉപായം നേടാനായി മാത്രമാണ് ഈ സംരംഭം ആരംഭിച്ചത്; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഈ കുതിരകൾ എനിക്ക് ആവശ്യമില്ല. മഹാരാജാവേ! ഈ കുടിശ്ശിക അടയ്ക്കാൻ നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് കഴിയുമെങ്കിൽ, ഒരു മടിയും കൂടാതെ ഉടൻ തന്നെ അത് നിർവഹിക്കൂ.”
