कि नु ते मनसा ध्यातमशुभं॑ धर्मदूषणम्‌ | न हायं भवतः स्वल्पो व्यभिचारो भविष्यति,“तुमने अपने मनमें कौन-सा अशुभ चिन्तन किया है, जो धर्मको दूषित करनेवाला रहा है। मैं समझता हूँ, तुम्हारे द्वारा यहाँ कोई थोड़ा धर्मविरुद्ध कार्य नहीं हुआ होगा”

ki nu te manasā dhyātam aśubhaṃ dharmadūṣaṇam | na hāyaṃ bhavataḥ svalpo vyabhicāro bhaviṣyati |

നാരദൻ പറഞ്ഞു— ധർമ്മത്തെ മലിനമാക്കുന്ന ഏത് അശുഭചിന്തയാണ് നീ മനസ്സിൽ ധ്യാനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്? ഇത് നിന്റെ ഭാഗത്ത് നിന്നുള്ള ചെറിയ വീഴ്ചയല്ല; ഇത് ഗുരുതരമായ അതിക്രമമായി മാറും.
