अष्टाविंशतिरात्रं च चड्क्रम्य सह भानुना । निष्पतन्ति पुन: सूर्यात्‌ सोमसंयोगयोगतः

Transliteration

aṣṭāviṁśatirātraṁ ca cakramya saha bhānunā | niṣpatanti punaḥ sūryāt somasaṁyogayogataḥ ||

Translation

അവർ ഭാനുവിനോടൊപ്പം ഇരുപത്തിയെട്ട് രാത്രികളുടെ ചക്രം പൂർത്തിയാക്കി, ചന്ദ്രസംയോഗയോഗം മൂലം അമാവാസ്യയ്ക്കു ശേഷം വീണ്ടും സൂര്യമണ്ഡലത്തിൽ നിന്ന് വേർപെടുന്നു.
