Indra and Dharma’s Consolation; Celestial Gaṅgā Purification
“जहाँ राजर्षि मान्धाता, राजा भगीरथ और दुष्यन्तकुमार भरत गये हैं, उन्हीं लोकोंमें तुम भी विहार करोगे ।।
vaiśampāyana uvāca | yatra rājarṣi māndhātā rājā bhagīrathaś ca duṣyanta-kumāro bharataś ca gatāḥ, tān eva lokān tvam api vihariṣyasi || eṣā devanadī puṇyā pārtha trailokya-pāvanī | ākāśa-gaṅgā rājendra tatrāplutya gamiṣyasi ||
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു— രാജർഷി മാൻധാതാ, രാജാവ് ഭഗീരഥൻ, ദുഷ്യന്തപുത്രൻ ഭരതൻ എന്നിവർ ചെന്ന അതേ ലോകങ്ങളിൽ നീയും വിഹരിക്കും. ഹേ പാർഥാ! ഇത് ദേവനദി, പുണ്യമയമായത്, ത്രിലോകപാവിനി—ആകാശഗംഗ. ഹേ രാജേന്ദ്രാ! ഇതിലെ ജലത്തിൽ മുങ്ങിയാൽ നീ ദിവ്യലോകങ്ങളിലേക്കു പോകും.
