राजधर्मः—प्रजापालनं दानयज्ञश्च

न होतामाशिषं पाण्डुर्न च कुन्ती त्वयाचत । तथैतत् प्रज्ञया तात यथा55चरसि मेधया
Transliteration
na hotām āśiṣaṁ pāṇḍur na ca kuntī tvayācat | tathaitat prajñayā tāta yathā carasi medhayā ||
Translation
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—പാണ്ഡു നിന്നോട് ഒരിക്കലും ആശീർവാദം അപേക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; കുന്തിയും നിന്നോട് ഒന്നും യാചിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. എങ്കിലും പ്രിയ താത, ഈ കാര്യത്തിൽ നീ പ്രജ്ഞയും മേധയും കൊണ്ട് പെരുമാറുന്നത് പരമഹിതത്തിന് അനുരൂപമാണ്.
