Āśrama-dharma: Duties of the Four Life-Stages (आश्रमधर्मः)
कुर्वीतापत्यसंतानमथो दद्याद् यजेत च । संविभज्य च भोक्तव्यं धन॑ सद्धिरितीर्यते
kurvītāpatyasantānam atho dadyād yajeta ca | saṁvibhajya ca bhoktavyaṁ dhanaṁ saddhir itīryate ||
സന്താനപരമ്പര തുടരാൻ സന്തതി ഉണ്ടാക്കണം; ദാനം നൽകണം; യജ്ഞം നടത്തണം. സജ്ജനർ ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നത്—ധനം പങ്കുവെച്ച്, യഥാവിധി വിതറി കഴിഞ്ഞേ ഭോഗിക്കാവൂ എന്നതാണ്.
