Paraśurāma’s origins and the depletion/restoration of kṣatriya lineages
तां दृष्टवा द्रवरतीं तत्र संत्रासात् स महामना: । ऊरुणा धारयामास कश्यप: पृथिवीं ततः,भयके मारे पृथ्वीको रसातलकी ओर भागती देख महामनस्वी कश्यपने अपने ऊरुओंका सहारा देकर उसे रोक दिया
tāṃ dṛṣṭvā dravaratīṃ tatra saṃtrāsāt sa mahāmanāḥ | ūruṇā dhārayāmāsa kaśyapaḥ pṛthivīṃ tataḥ ||
അവിടെ ഭയത്താൽ വിറച്ച് രസാതലത്തിലേക്ക് ഓടിപ്പോകാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്ന ഭൂമിയെ കണ്ട മഹാമനസ്സനായ കശ്യപൻ തന്റെ ഊരുക്കളുടെ ആശ്രയത്തോടെ അവളെ താങ്ങി നിർത്തി തടഞ്ഞു.
