स तस्य पुरुषेन्द्रस्य प्रभावेण महौजस: । ददाह कार्तवीर्यस्य शैलानथ वनस्पतीन्,उन्होंने उस महापराक्रमी नरेश कार्तवीर्यके प्रभावसे पर्वतों और वनस्पतियोंको जलाना आरम्भ किया
sa tasya puruṣendrasya prabhāveṇa mahaujasāḥ | dadāha kārtavīryasya śailān atha vanaspatīn |
ആ പുരുഷേന്ദ്രന്റെ പ്രഭാവം കൊണ്ടു മഹൗജസ്സായ അഗ്നി കാർതവീര്യന്റെ പർവതങ്ങളെയും വൃക്ഷാദി വനസ്പതികളെയും ദഹിപ്പാൻ തുടങ്ങി.
वासुदेव उवाच
