दृष्टमेतत्‌ पुरा भद्रे ज्ञातं च तपसा मया | ब्रह्मभूतं हि सकल॑ पितुस्तव कुल भवेत्‌,कल्याणि! मैंने तपस्याद्वारा पहले ही यह बात देख और जान ली है कि तुम्हारे पिताका समस्त कुल ब्राह्मण होगा

dṛṣṭam etat purā bhadre jñātaṃ ca tapasā mayā | brahmabhūtaṃ hi sakalaṃ pituḥ tava kulaṃ bhavet kalyāṇi ||

ഋചീകൻ പറഞ്ഞു—കല്യാണീ! തപസ്സിലൂടെ ഞാൻ ഇത് മുമ്പേ കണ്ടും അറിഞ്ഞുമിരിക്കുന്നു: നിന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ സമസ്ത കുലവും ബ്രാഹ്മണസ്വഭാവവും ബ്രാഹ്മണസ്ഥാനവും പ്രാപിക്കും.
