अदित्या: सप्तधा त्वं तु पुराणो गर्भतां गत: । पृश्चिगर्भस्त्वमेवैकस्त्रियुगं त्वां वदन्त्यपि
adityāḥ saptadhā tvaṃ tu purāṇo garbhatāṃ gataḥ | pṛścigarbhas tvam evaikas triyugaṃ tvāṃ vadanty api ||
ഹേ പുരാണപുരുഷാ! നിങ്ങൾ അദിതിയുടെ ഗർഭത്തിൽ ഏഴുവിധമായി അവതരിച്ചു; നിങ്ങൾ തന്നെയാണ് ഏകമായി ‘പൃശ്ചിഗർഭ’ എന്ന നാമത്തിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധൻ; മൂന്നു യുഗങ്ങളിലും പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടുന്നതിനാൽ പണ്ഡിതർ നിങ്ങളെ ‘ത്രിയുഗ’ എന്നും പറയുന്നു.
