अहं त्वनेन नागेन्द्र सत्यपूर्व समाहिता । प्रस्थाप्यो मत्सकाशं स सम्प्राप्तो भुजगोत्तम:,नागराज! उन्होंने मुझसे पहले सच्ची प्रतिज्ञा करा ली है कि नागराजके आते ही तुम उन्हें मेरे पास भेज देना
ahaṁ tv anena nāgendra satyapūrvaṁ samāhitāḥ | prasthāpyo matsakāśaṁ sa samprāpto bhujagottamaḥ ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ നാഗേന്ദ്രാ! നാഗരാജൻ വന്ന ഉടൻ നീ അവനെ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയയ്ക്കുമെന്ന സത്യപ്രതിജ്ഞ അവൻ മുമ്പേ എന്നിൽ നിന്ന് വാങ്ങിയിരുന്നു. ആ പ്രതിജ്ഞപ്രകാരം ആ ശ്രേഷ്ഠ ഭുജംഗൻ ഇപ്പോൾ എന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ എത്തിച്ചേർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
