तज्जगादारविन्दाक्षो ब्रह्मण: पश्यतस्तदा । नृपश्रेष्ठ! फिर पूर्वकालमें ब्रह्माजीने नासिकाके द्वारा जब पाँचवाँ जन्म ग्रहण किया
tajjagādāravindākṣo brahmaṇaḥ paśyatastadā | nṛpaśreṣṭha! punaḥ pūrvakāle brahmājīne nāsikayā dvārā yadā pañcamaṃ janma gṛhītavān, tadā svayaṃ kamalanayano bhagavān nārāyaṇo hariḥ brahmaṇaḥ sammukhe ’sya dharmasya upadeśaṃ cakāra |
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അപ്പോൾ ബ്രഹ്മാവ് നോക്കി നിൽക്കേ, കമലനയനനായ ഭഗവാൻ അതു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു. നൃപശ്രേഷ്ഠാ! പൂർവകാലത്ത് ബ്രഹ്മാവ് നാസികയിലൂടെ അഞ്ചാം ജന്മം സ്വീകരിച്ചപ്പോൾ, സ്വയം കമലനയനനായ ഭഗവാൻ നാരായണൻ—ഹരിയേ—ബ്രഹ്മാവിന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ഈ ധർമ്മം ഉപദേശിച്ചു.
