Atithi-satkāra and the Consolation of Wise Counsel (अतिथिसत्कारः प्रज्ञानवचनस्य च पराश्वासनम्)
इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत शान्तिपर्वके अन्तर्गत गोक्षधर्मपर्वमें नारययणकी महिमाविषयक तीन सौ बयालीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ ॥/ ३४२ ॥। (दक्षिणात्य अधिक पाठके २ श्लोक मिलाकर कुल १४४ श्लोक हैं) 3: अ--छकऋा - सूर्य और चन्द्रमा ही अग्नि एवं सोम है। वे जगत्को हर्ष प्रदान करनेके कारण 'हृषी” कहलाते हैं। वे ही भगवानके केश अर्थात् किरणें हैं
śaunaka uvāca | saute sumahad ākhyānaṃ bhavatā parikīrtitam | yac chrutvā munayaḥ sarve vismayaṃ paramaṃ gatāḥ ||
ശൗനകൻ പറഞ്ഞു— “ഹേ സൗതി! നീ അത്യന്തം മഹത്തായ ഒരു ആഖ്യാനം വർണ്ണിച്ചു. അത് കേട്ട് എല്ലാ മുനിമാരും പരമ വിസ്മയത്തിലായി.”
