Śuka’s Guṇa-Transcendence and Vyāsa’s Consolation (शुकगति-वर्णनम्)
येन येन हि यस्यार्थ: कारणेनेह कर्मणि । तत्तदालम्बते सर्व: स्वे स्वे स्वार्थपरिग्रहे
yena yena hi yasyārthaḥ kāraṇeneha karmaṇi | tattad ālambate sarvaḥ sve sve svārthaparigrahe ||
ജനകൻ പറഞ്ഞു— ഈ കർമ്മലോകത്തിൽ ഒരാൾക്ക് തന്റെ അഭീഷ്ടഫലം നേടാൻ ഏത് ഏത് ഉപാധി ആവശ്യമായിരിക്കുമോ, അതേ അതേ ഉപാധിയെയാണ് അവൻ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നത്; കാരണം ഓരോരുത്തനും തന്റെ ലക്ഷ്യസിദ്ധിക്കായി ഉപകാരപ്പെടുന്ന ഉപകരണത്തെയേ സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നു.
