पिता गुरु्न संदेहो वेदविद्याप्रद: प्रभु: अतो भार्गव इत्युक्त मया गोत्र तवान्तिके
pitā gurau na saṁdeho vedavidyāpradaḥ prabhuḥ | ato bhārgava ity uktaṁ mayā gotraṁ tavāntike ||
സംശയമില്ല—വേദവും വിദ്യയും നൽകുന്ന ശക്തനായ ഗുരു പിതാവിനോടു തുല്യൻ; അതുകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങളുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ ഗോത്രം ‘ഭാർഗവ’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
