Welfare, Steadfastness, and Norms of Giving
स्निग्वैश्व क्रियमाणानि कर्माणीह निवर्तयेत् । हिंसात्मकानि सर्वाणि नायुरिच्छेत् परायुषा
snigdhaiś ca kriyamāṇāni karmāṇīha nivartayet | hiṁsātmakāni sarvāṇi nāyur icchet parāyuṣā ||
മനുഷ്യൻ ചെയ്യേണ്ടത് ഇതാണ്—സ്നേഹവശാൽ തന്റെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ടവർ തനിക്കായി ഹിംസാത്മകമായ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ ചെയ്യുകയാണെങ്കിൽ, അവയെല്ലാം അവൻ തടയണം. മറ്റൊരാളുടെ ആയുസ്സുകൊണ്ട് സ്വന്തം ആയുസ്സ് നീട്ടാൻ—അഥവാ മറ്റൊരാളുടെ ജീവൻ എടുത്ത് സ്വന്തം ജീവൻ രക്ഷിക്കാൻ—ആഗ്രഹിക്കരുത്.
