तृष्णाक्षय-उपदेशः

Instruction on the Cessation of Craving

कपिल उवाच प्रत्यक्षमिह पश्यन्ति भवन्तः सत्पथे स्थिता: । प्रत्यक्ष तु किमत्रास्ति यद्‌ भवन्‍त उपासते,कपिलने कहा--आपलोग सम्मार्गमें स्थित रहकर यहाँ योगमार्गके फलका प्रत्यक्ष दर्शन कर सकते हैं; परंतु कर्ममार्गमें रहकर आपलोग जिस यज्ञकी उपासना करते हैं, उससे यहाँ कौन-सा प्रत्यक्ष फल प्राप्त होता है?

kapila uvāca pratyakṣam iha paśyanti bhavantaḥ satpathe sthitāḥ | pratyakṣaṃ tu kim atrāsti yad bhavanta upāsate |

കപിലൻ പറഞ്ഞു—സത്പഥത്തിൽ നിലകൊള്ളുന്ന നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഇവിടെ യോഗമാർഗ്ഗത്തിന്റെ ഫലം പ്രത്യക്ഷമായി കാണാം; എന്നാൽ കർമമാർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ നിന്ന് നിങ്ങൾ ഉപാസിക്കുന്ന യജ്ഞത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ഇവിടെ ഏത് പ്രത്യക്ഷഫലമാണ് ലഭിക്കുന്നത്?
