Kuṇḍadhāra-Upākhyāna: Dharma’s Superiority over Wealth and Desire
भीष्म उवाच ततो जाजलिना तेन समाहूता: पतत्त्रिण: । वाचमुच्चारयन्ति सम धर्मस्य वचनात् किल,भीष्मजी कहते हैं--राजन्! तदनन्तर जाजलिने उन पक्षियोंकों बुलाया। उनका धर्मयुक्त वचन सुनकर वे पक्षी वहाँ आये और उनसे मनुष्यके समान स्पष्ट वाणीमें बोलने लगे--
bhīṣma uvāca | tato jājalinā tena samāhūtāḥ patattriṇaḥ | vācam uccārayanti sma dharmasya vacanāt kila ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അതിനുശേഷം ജാജലി ആ പക്ഷികളെ വിളിച്ചു. ധർമ്മയുക്തമായ അവന്റെ വാക്കുകൾ കേട്ട് അവർ അവിടെ ഒന്നിച്ചു കൂടി, മനുഷ്യരെപ്പോലെ വ്യക്തമായ വാക്കുകളിൽ സംസാരിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി.
