Ātma-saṃyama-dharma: One-pointedness of Mind and Senses (शुक–व्यास संवादः)
कृतमित्येव तत्सरव॑ कृत्वा तिछेत पार्श्चत: । किंकर: सर्वकारी स्यात् सर्वकर्मसु कोविद:,गुरुजी जो भी आज्ञा दें उसके लिये सदा यही उत्तर दे कि भगवन्! इसे अभी पूरा किया” और वह सब कार्य करके उनके पास आकर खड़ा जो जाय। "मेरे लिये क्या आज्ञा है?” ऐसा पूछते हुए एक आज्ञाकारी सेवककी भाँति गुरुका सारा कार्य करनेके लिये तैयार रहे और सभी कर्मोके सम्पादनमें कुशल हो
kṛtam ity eva tat sarvaṃ kṛtvā tiṣṭhet pārśvataḥ | kiṃkaraḥ sarvakārī syāt sarvakarmasu kovidaḥ ||
ഏല്പിച്ച എല്ലാ പ്രവൃത്തികളും പൂർത്തിയാക്കി ഗുരുവിന്റെ സമീപത്ത് വന്ന് പാർശ്വത്ത് നിൽക്കുകയും ‘കൃതം’ എന്നു മാത്രം പറയുകയും വേണം. അനുസരണശീലമുള്ള സേവകനുപോലെ അടുത്ത ആജ്ഞയ്ക്കായി സദാ സന്നദ്ധനായി, എല്ലാ കർമങ്ങളുടെയും നിർവഹണത്തിൽ നിപുണനാകണം.
