योग–सांख्यसमन्वयः, रथोपमा, व्यक्त–अव्यक्तविवेकः

त्वया कुरूणां वर यत्‌ प्रचोदितं भवाभवस्येह परं निदर्शनम्‌ । तदद्य सर्व परिकीर्तितं मया परीक्ष्य तत्त्वं परिगन्तुमरहसि,कुरुश्रेष्ठ युधिष्ठिर! तुमने जो अभ्युदय-पराभवका लक्षण पूछा था, वह सब मैंने आज यह उत्तम दृष्टान्त देकर बता दिया। तुम्हें स्वयं सोच-विचारकर उसकी यथार्थताका निश्चय करना चाहिये

tvayā kurūṇāṃ vara yat pracoditaṃ bhavābhavasyeha paraṃ nidarśanam | tad adya sarvaṃ parikīrtitaṃ mayā parīkṣya tattvaṃ parigantum arhasi, kuruśreṣṭha yudhiṣṭhira ||

ശക്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ കുരുശ്രേഷ്ഠാ! ഈ ലോകത്തിലെ ഉയർച്ചയും താഴ്ചയും സംബന്ധിച്ച പരമ ദൃഷ്ടാന്തം വിശദീകരിക്കണമെന്ന് നീ ചോദിച്ചതെല്ലാം ഞാൻ ഇന്ന് പൂർണ്ണമായി പറഞ്ഞു. ഇനി നീ സ്വയം പരിശോധിച്ച് തത്ത്വം യഥാർത്ഥമായി ഗ്രഹിക്കേണ്ടതാണ്।
