योग–सांख्यसमन्वयः, रथोपमा, व्यक्त–अव्यक्तविवेकः

अदृश्यन्तार्यवर्णेषु शूद्राक्षापि तपोधना: । दानवोंके यहाँ जो व्यापारी हैं, वे सदा दूसरोंका धन ठग लेनेका ही विचार रखते हैं तथा ब्राह्मण, क्षत्रिय और वैश्योंमें शूद्र भी मिलकर तपोधन बन बैठे हैं

śakra uvāca | adṛśyantāryavarṇeṣu śūdrākṣā api tapodhanāḥ |

ശക്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ആര്യവർണങ്ങളിലുപോലും ശൂദ്രലക്ഷണമുള്ള ചിലർ തപോധനരായി, അഥവാ തപസ്സിൽ സമ്പന്നരായി, കാണപ്പെടുന്നു. അതിനാൽ പുറമേയുള്ള ജാതിചിഹ്നം ഉള്ളിലെ ഗുണത്തെ ഉറപ്പായി സൂചിപ്പിക്കില്ല; ജന്മമോ രൂപമോ അല്ല, സംയമവും ആചരണവുമാണ് യഥാർത്ഥ മൂല്യം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നത്.
