समरेषु च विक्रान्तं पर्याप्त॑ तन्निदर्शनम्‌ । पहले मैं जो पुरुषार्थ प्रकट कर चुका हूँ

Transliteration

samareṣu ca vikrāntaṃ paryāptaṃ tan-nidarśanam |

Translation

ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—യുദ്ധങ്ങളിൽ എന്റെ വിക്രമത്തിന് തെളിവായി ഒരു ഉദാഹരണം മതി. ഞാൻ മുമ്പ് പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ച പുരുഷാർത്ഥം ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ അറിയുന്നത് നീ തന്നെയാണ്. പല യുദ്ധങ്ങളിലും നീ എന്റെ വീര്യം വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്; അതിനാൽ ഈ വേളയിൽ ഒരൊറ്റ ദൃഷ്ടാന്തം മതിയാകും.
