Bali–Vāsava Dialogue on Kāla and Steadfastness

अभयं यस्य भूतेभ्य: सर्वेषामभयं यत: । नमस्य: सर्वभूतानां दान्तो भवति बुद्धिमान्‌

abhayaṁ yasya bhūtebhyaḥ sarveṣām abhayaṁ yataḥ | namasyaḥ sarvabhūtānāṁ dānto bhavati buddhimān ||

ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—എല്ലാ ജീവികളോടും നിർഭയനായും, അവനാൽ എല്ലാ ജീവികളും നിർഭയരായും കഴിയുന്ന ജ്ഞാനിയും ദമനശീലനും ആയ പുരുഷൻ സർവ്വജീവികൾക്കും വന്ദ്യനാകുന്നു. അവൻ ബലപ്രയോഗത്തിലല്ല; തന്റെ ചുറ്റും സുരക്ഷാബോധം ഉണർത്തിയുകൊണ്ടാണ് ധർമ്മത്തെ പ്രകാശിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്.
