Adhyāya 2: Nārada’s Disclosure—Karṇa’s Training and the Brahmin’s Curse (Śānti-parva)
गुहामेतत् तु देवानां कथयिष्यामि तेडनघ । तन्निबोध महाबाहो यथा वृत्तमिदं पुरा
guhāmetat tu devānāṁ kathayiṣyāmi te 'nagha | tan nibodha mahābāho yathā vṛttam idaṁ purā ||
നാരദൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അനഘനേ! ഇത് ദേവന്മാരുടെ ഗുഹ്യമായ കാര്യമാകുന്നു; ഞാൻ നിന്നോട് പറയുന്നു. മഹാബാഹുവേ! പുരാതനകാലത്ത് നടന്നത് യഥാതഥമായി ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ കേൾക്കുക।
