Adhyāya 199: Karma–Jñāna Causality and the Nirguṇa Brahman

Manu’s Instruction

दिष्ट्या देवि प्रसन्ना त्वं दर्शनं चागता मम । यदि चापि प्रसन्नासि जप्ये मे रमतां मन:,“देवि! आज मेरा अहोभाग्य है कि आपने प्रसन्न होकर मुझे दर्शन दिया। यदि वास्तवमें आप मुझपर संतुष्ट हैं तो ऐसी कृपा कीजिये जिससे मेरा मन जपमें लगा रहे”

dṛṣṭyā devi prasannā tvaṁ darśanaṁ cāgatā mama | yadi cāpi prasannāsi japye me ramatāṁ manaḥ ||

“ദേവീ! നിങ്ങൾ പ്രസന്നയായി എനിക്ക് ദർശനം നൽകാൻ വന്നത് എന്റെ മഹാഭാഗ്യം. നിങ്ങൾ സത്യമായും എന്നിൽ സന്തുഷ്ടയാണെങ്കിൽ, ഈ കൃപ നൽകുക— എന്റെ മനസ്സ് ജപത്തിൽ തന്നെ രമിച്ച് സ്ഥിരമായി നിലകൊള്ളട്ടെ.”
