अध्याय १५२: लोभः पापस्य मूलम् — Greed as the Root of Wrongdoing
विदितं भवतो वीर्य माहात्म्यं वेद आगमे । कुरुष्वेह यथाशान्ति ब्रह्मा शरणमस्तु ते
viditaṁ bhavato vīryaṁ māhātmyaṁ veda āgame | kuruṣveha yathāśānti brahmā śaraṇam astu te ||
ശൗനകൻ പറഞ്ഞു— നിന്റെ വീര്യവും പരാക്രമവും പ്രസിദ്ധമാണ്; വേദാഗമങ്ങളിൽ പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്ന ബ്രാഹ്മണരുടെ മഹിമയും നിനക്ക് അറിയാം. അതിനാൽ ഇവിടെ ശാന്തിക്കനുസരിച്ച് പ്രവർത്തിക്ക; ബ്രാഹ്മണസമൂഹം നിനക്ക് ശരണം നൽകാൻ കഴിയുന്നവണ്ണം; ബ്രഹ്മാ നിനക്ക് ആശ്രയമാകട്ടെ।
